About

Michelle M. Jones

Michelle Moffett Jones has been an artist/illustrator for well over 30 years. Her work has been viewed in gallery exhibitions, virtual galleries, juried shows, and print.

Michelle is graduate of Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia and has been a working art teacher since 1992.

While teaching Michelle has enjoyed a full career as a painter and most recently as an illustrator.

She is best known for her Embrace Series which she painted the year BEFORE our world was unable to embrace due to COVID-19. She has painted images produced by world renown photographers with their blessing as well as loving images of family and friends.

Not only did Michelle focus on love, she openly aimed to combat racism with her work on George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, and the demonstrators at BLM rallies.

In the midst of the COVID crisis, Michelle has found a deep love of illustration and is currently working on a children’s book written by Authors Kimberly Garvin and Saadiq Wicks. She also completed a virtual advent calendar and is working on two children’s books projects of her own.

Michelle currently resides in New Jersey and is always eager to take commissions.
